Care Rooted in Dignity. Powered by Community.

We Can We Shall works alongside families and local partners to provide youth with the resources, support, and opportunities they need to grow, thrive, and succeed across Canton and Stark County.

Mission Snapshot

At We Can, We Shall, we believe support should never come with shame.

We exist to serve youth and young adults who are too often overlooked, meeting real needs while preserving dignity, autonomy, and self-worth. Our work is rooted in community, guided by accountability, and driven by one simple truth: when young people are supported without judgment, they rise.

This is not charity.
This is community-powered care.

The Local Reality

In Stark County, nearly 47% of children are living in poverty.

Behind that number are young people navigating food insecurity, instability, and limited access to support, often without spaces that feel safe, affirming, or respectful.

We Can, We Shall exists to bridge that gap locally, intentionally, and with care, ensuring youth are not just supported, but seen.

Immediate Initiatives

  • Our work is guided by a shift in mindset:

    Not What do they lack?
    But What helps them thrive?

    We prioritize:

    • Dignity over charity — no shame, no labels, no forced gratitude

    • Action over optics — real impact over appearances

    • Community-powered solutions — local people supporting local youth

Every program is designed to move youth from surviving circumstances to thriving with confidence, choice, and support.

  • We’re preparing to feed 300 youth at an upcoming First Friday event—using food as a bridge to connection, trust, and relationship-building.

  • Rather than handing out generic supplies, we support 50–100 youth with personalized shopping experiences—allowing them to choose the clothing and personal care items that help them feel confident and prepared.

    Because dignity lives in choice.

“We don’t believe in shame-based help or conditional support.
We believe in meeting young people where they are, honoring their dignity, and reminding them of who they already are.”

— Savannah Muntean, Founder & President
